The new system for dealing with low-value road traffic accident (RTA) claims (those between £1,000 and £10,000) comes in on 30 April.
The entire system has been overhauled with the intention of settling small
claims much more quickly.
In keeping withthe Government’s obsession with the Internet (VAT returns andCompany documents must now be filed online), the claim will now beinitiated by accessing the ‘RTA Claim Portal’.
