Andrew Meeson, the former president of the Association of Taxation Technicians, has been arrested following a investigation into an alleged £5 million tax fraud. He has been charged with conspiracy to cheat the Revenue in connection with his role at Tudor Capital Management.
HM Revenue and Customs claim to be investigating a number of similar cases.
